Posted February 24, 2018 07:03:48A new Disney Music publishing company has been founded by Watanabe Music Publishing, a division of Warner Music Group.
The new company, which also operates under the Disney Music name, announced it had received approval from Disney’s parent company for the new publishing division.
Watanabe is one of the few remaining independent music publishing companies in the world, and it has been around for more than 15 years.
It has been producing music since 1998.
The company has also launched a streaming service, called Music by the Artist, which will stream songs by independent artists and musicians.
It also publishes music through Spotify and other music streaming services.
Walt Disney Music was founded in 2012, but the publishing arm of Warner and Disney’s other entertainment companies, including Universal Studios and Disneyland, had no interest in taking over the publishing business.
The publisher has also been involved in the acquisition of music rights for films, such as Disney’s The Lion King and Pixar’s Finding Nemo, but those deals are not expected to happen until 2020.
