Berklee: ‘It was always a dream to work with Bongos’

Bongus, the band Berklelee, is coming back to the world of music, with a new album, The World Is Full Of Monsters.

Bonguses sophomore studio album, Songs For The Birds, drops May 29 via Rhino and will feature the band on a tour.

In a press release, Bonguys lead singer Dave Grohl says he and his bandmates have been working on a new version of their iconic “I Am the Walrus” song.

Grohl explains that “I am the Walus” was inspired by a conversation he had with a friend while at a concert a few years ago.

“As a musician, he was telling me he loved the song, but he also told me that he had a feeling about the way it sounded, and how it would make people feel,” Grohl said.

“I was like, ‘That’s awesome, I can’t wait to hear it again.'”

The Bongues are the latest band to rework their classic “I Will Never Forget You,” but Grohl is also returning to the title track.

“This is a huge moment for Bong, for Bucky, and for the band,” Grohn said.

He says the group has been working together for years and that he hopes to get back to writing songs together.

“The songs have been written and recorded in the studio, and then the songs are recorded in Nashville and then we’re going back to Nashville and the songs were recorded in Chicago,” Grohns.

The band will tour throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico this spring.

“We are super stoked to be back,” Grohm said.
