After more than 50 years of existence, the European Union (EU) will soon be home to a new publishing house, one that is aiming to bring music back to Europe.
In a move that will change the way people consume music in Europe, the new company, which is called Legacy Music Publishing, will be founded in Luxembourg in 2018, and will be headquartered in the Netherlands.
The company is also aiming to have more than 100 employees, and plans to take on an estimated 50 million euros ($53 million) in investments to grow the business.
According to a press release, Legacy will take its business model of providing digital content to consumers and providing original music to artists to an even higher level, and focus on bringing the music and culture of the EU to more people.
The announcement came on the heels of a conference for music professionals at the EU headquarters in Brussels, which featured the unveiling of a new series of posters celebrating the legacy of European music publishing.
Legacy will release a collection of artwork for the poster, which features music by the likes of the Beatles, David Bowie, The Who and The Who’s drummer Pete Townshend.
The posters will also feature artists like Radiohead, Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke, the Rolling Stones, and the Rolling Thunder, the band of The Who.
In 2018, Legacy Music Publishers will focus on the publishing of music through the legacy and legacy-focused imprints.
It will offer a range of premium music products, including albums, music videos, concert posters, music video remixes, live concerts and more.
The company will also be able to offer music from the past and the present, including covers and covers-only, with limited edition and limited edition-only editions.
It will also focus on music licensing through the EU, which will include a licensing agreement for both artists and artists’ labels, as well as a joint marketing initiative with Spotify.
It also plans to launch a licensing scheme with digital platforms such as Pandora.
